Life Worth Living.A Poem by Deadline JeffreyIt is out there somewhere, a reason to be, Living in the mountains, or perhaps by the sea. With a beautiful family, so full of joy, With our little girls and our little boy. Life has been, and pardon my french, A royal a*s, like life in a trench. Arguments like bullets, Fights like a knife, Words like bombs, Conversations full of strife. Happiness was all I asked, And I did my best to give, But nothing was ever good enough, and nothing ever will be. You took all I had to give, and then demanded more. I gave you all I had, and then gave you even more. I am broken, scarred, and hurt. With your weapons of war, you waged, on my heart and soul, and will 'till my grave. All that is left now, Is a shell of who I used to be, Filled with anger, hate, hurt, and spite. Happy on the outside, but feeling rotten inside. But for you, You make me feel whole. Like the anger The hurt The hate The spite Makes it seem so small, As if its not there at all. And for that I will gladly give What I did not have before A heart A soul A love A ring And a promise. Best friends till the end, and in the end, it will be a life worth living.
