Productive Dust

Productive Dust

A Poem by Deadline Jeffrey
"

musing while at work

"
For it is dust from whence you came, and to dust you shall return,
but in the process, shall you make such an impact on the world around you
that when people remember you, will they remember you more than the dust?
Or are you doomed to blow away to the faint memories of time?
Time.
The only timeless thing.
Nature does not know time. It knows age and of ages past.
Time is a construct of human design, to be tracked and counted against.
It seems everyone is so occupied with saving time and spending time as if it were a material thing, like currency.
We throughout our lives have a finite amount to spend.
Will you spend it on rubbish? Or will you spend your time on things of value?
You are your own banker in this sense. Man is in control of his destiny.
We are doomed or blessed to have such control. Some choose wisely, while others choose poorly.
You don't have to stop a war, save peoples lives, or lead a country to have an impact.
There is beauty in subtlety, and content in simplicity.
One thought can change a thousand minds.
Aspire to do more than thought possible, and your achievements will reflect,
that even a pile of dust, can do more than assumed.

Whenever time is discussed, my mind is always messed up. I think it doesn't exist and i agree that it's a construct of human design and everybody's saving and spending it. A lot of people are also pressured because everything has deadlines and all but again, i totally agree with your lines,
"You don't have to stop a war, save peoples lives, or lead a country to have an impact.
There is beauty in subtlety, and content in simplicity"
You just have to live your life and continue finding your purpose.

Overall, i love this writing so much. I think it's a reality wake up call to everyone :)

Please keep on writing, you're amazing :)

I apologize for the late reply, but thank you so much. That really does mean a lot.

"It's the little things" is what goes through my mind reading this. It's the littlest of choices that make the biggest effects. The little things in life. . .at least for some people

It really is the little things. Sometimes the littlest things make the biggest impacts.
