Me and my skin

Me and my skin

A Poem by Vrishalee J

 And as I lay

I lay on the grass,

Drunk on the sky

I see, the dawn parting a goodbye

Morning entering the path

I feel, the tips stinging my back,

The dew entering my skin;

For the skin is porous

And so am I

I realise, we both do it well

Imbibe within ourselves

What is worth engulfing

One thing at a time,

Heavily without a sigh

Me and my skin.

I have the vision of lying naked on the grass in a lush green meadow, wet upon the dew, as the warmth of a sun rise softly bakes my skin.

And the skin feels it all. What a lovely relationship, the skin and you. Enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing.
