Is it silver lining in the cloud,
Or silver spoon in the mouth, is happiness?
Is it the golden beams of the sun,
Or the golden bangles, is happiness?
Is it the butterflies cherishing the flower,
Or fiddling the flower, is happiness?
Is it the Mona Lisa being painted,
Or popularity of Leonardo, is happiness?
Is the team winning,
Or 'Man of the Match' title, is happiness?
Is it quenching the thirst,
Or debating the issue, is happiness?
Is it the Hindu-Muslim amity,
Or politicking the communalism, is happiness?
Is it the women's independence,
Or keeping her in chains, is happiness?
Is it reaching out for stuck pilgrims,
Or a mesmerizing sortie, is happiness?
Is it pulverizing the violence,
Or signing the arms deal, is happiness?
Is it the friends' sparkling smile,
Or friends' worried face, is happiness?
Its not the trophies but an indelible imprint a writer leaves on the mind of mindless!
So, surely...
Whittling down the materialism is happiness.
Turning a materialistic world into a non materialistic is happiness.
