The Taste Of Tears

The Taste Of Tears

A Poem by VoodooChild94

The taste of tears upon your lips

A silent plea, from them it slips

A crushing pain from deep within

A battle that you cannot win

You want to tell them you’re ok

When into words you cannot say

Your own belief becomes your ledge

A lie that you can no longer pledge

Your heart it throbs with emptiness

A want that you cannot caress

Like a shadow; hurt it looms

Over the corpse of which it blooms

Deep, dark and emotive. I like the lines "Your heart it throbs with emptiness/A want that you cannot caress". Nicely done. Penny :)

Very nice. I can see you've had some time to revise it.
