Once the transgressor, I did not care; the memories and insistant instruction pushed down by selfish will. Then I looked into your beauty, Did the unforgivable: I broke your heart Destroyed stone houses with a Lie. Your brokenness seemed petty, childlike But, oh, when I looked into those windows I realised that I had played the vandal; Your motherly caress of years past Your unfaltering faith in my spirit: Broken I broke you
