Things I Believe (in no particular order)

I BELIEVE...

in tomorrows.

in living for today.

in love.

when you love someone, you should tell them.

a smile can brighten someone's day.

my dogs can always cheer me up.

children should be seen and heard.

crying can be therapeutic.

misery loves company.

in positive thinking.

Jesus loves me.

He loves you, too.

He wants me us to be happy.

everything happens for a reason.

we don't always understand.

we aren't always meant to understand.

we will know when we get to heaven.

then it won't matter.

I BELIEVE...

we always have a choice.

we choose our attitudes.

when one door closes, another one opens- but sometimes it's up to us to open it.

in miracles.

in the power of prayer.

in second chances.

everyone has a story.

patience is learned.

respect is earned.

so is trust.

trust is easily broken.

so are hearts.

in the innocence of a child.

a child's laughter is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world.

everyone has a right to feel safe.

life is simple- we make it complicated.

in compromise.

compromising does not equal settling.

I BELIEVE...

depression is real.

so is happiness.

there is a difference between optimism and happiness.

everyone has a God-shaped hole in their hearts.

in putting others first.

in loving yourself.

in unanswered prayers.

in spirituality, not religion.

in Christmas.

chivalry is alive.

people tend to give up on marriage too easily.

relationships take work.

in "happily ever after".

in the Bible.

in my husband.

everyone should have a good friend of the opposite sex.

death is not the end- nor the answer.

abuse- of any kind- is a sign of weakness.

forgiveness is a sign of strength.

in occasional retail therapy.

sexy heels, red lipstick, hoop earrings, and a chic ponytail can make you look and feel fabulous, no matter what else you have on.

you are special.

you are loved.

I BELIEVE...

the first taste is always the sweetest.

in first loves.

young love is real.

heartache can leave you bitter- but only if you let it.

in choosing your battles.

it isn't always about me.

it certainly isn't always about you, either.

good food, strong drinks, great friends, and belly-aching laughter really is a cure- all.

in deja-vu.

we are never completely alone.

in adventure.

helping others is the best first step towards fighting depression.

memories live in your heart, not in your mind.

we can always find a way to justify our actions- but it doesn't always make them right.

dancing is the best exercise, second only to sex.

sex should always be with someone you love.

sex should always be with someone who loves you.

in waiting until marriage.

it doesn't always work out that way.

in mind over matter.

tears are cleansing.

so is rain.

no one will ever be as loyal to me as my dogs are.

I BELIEVE...

women grow more beautiful with age.

having a baby does indeed change everything.

sometimes you just have to go for it.

in learning something new everyday.

parents should be parents, and children should be children.

animals attack for a reason.

that just when you think it couldn't get any better, it does.

God will give none of us more than we can handle.
