For those who knew and were worried the surgery for my crumpled vertebra went Extremely well. Pain meds are quite helpful, and I can tell the only real pain I'm feeling is from a 7' zipper's worth of staples. I can tell underneath the meds that the pain from my back seems to have disappeared... but I'm not spending much time up and walking around. Thank you one and all.

Aw, Thanks, neither of us seem to be posting as much of late... My greatest concern is these drugs which seem to be keeping everything in slow motion... I'm a week out of hospital, zipper removed next Friday, I hope. You doing smooth and easy these days, I pray it is so. I know that road! It goes ever on and on... it has two way traffic, and neither of us is from England!

I haven't been seeing too many familiar faces lately, so perhaps everyone is having problems, too.

Kelly Girl!
This sight feels like it was put together back around 97 or so and the word
"rickety" comes to mind at least once every time I sigh on...

Hello Vol, I wish you the best. I myself am a victim of serious spinal issues, and have been told, and have experienced first hand, that spinal surgeries bring both relief but other long term side effects resulting from the surgery. Good luck my friend.

Just checking on ya.
You told Eternity to check in with Dessi
So here I am! Got my D.O.G.E.shirts today!
Probably wear them somewhere tonight.
A Kiss & a Peck
And a Hug around your neck! I miss you!
I wonder if "smooches" can come French style... Not that it matters, as long as they come..

One of my favorite things about you. A Professor friend of mine used write a 6-page article and asked his creative writing classes to study it for a test tomorrow. Next day, he'd ask if everybody had read it... all raised hands. Then he gave them a vocabulary test... hardly any passed. If you don't know what a word means, you can't know what is said...

You told Dessi I left you.
Never would I do that.
You're my Bukowski,
My best friend.
You know I'm Dessi.
That means I get twice as much Vol!
Smooches.
Less than ten hours to go before it will be "One more day" I stayed away.
Vol, I'm so happy for you to get repaired on your back.
I'm worried you won't have time for me anymore.
But I'd rather lose you than for you to go through ANY more pain.
Your friend ALWAYS, Eternity
SO VERY pleased to read your news, thank you for letting us all know the latest. Promise, you've been thought of and prayed for. HOPE you'll remain in convalescent slowdown, my friend; no walking on stilts or heavy duty line dancing - yet!
