![]() TRAVELERA Poem by VolTraveling along the evergreen trails something went amiss, I came upon a long dry spell it should not be like this. There I broke my brittle feet and stood right where I fell. Where was the water, clear and sweet? I had to dig a well. I sang as I worked in the awful heat I was a cracked and broken bell.
One day my fingers left my hand, and my eyes were about to burst, I knew I had to take a stand everything I loved was cursed.
Cool water, boomed a voice!
I heard the words I needed to know though my eyes were about to burst I'll cool my lips in its cleansing flow! “Cool water!” to quell your thirst So I drank my fill, but thirsted still, knowing it was all a dream till the clock cried shrill that nothing is as it seems. © 2025 VolFeatured Review
