TICKLE MY FANCY

TICKLE MY FANCY

A Poem by Vol

Anda one, anda two, anda...

rhythmic shush of brush

on cymbal stirs an

old rhythm, something

wet, warm… familiar,

alabaster knees mark time

in classic marble pose...

A bottle rests near the foot

of my chair mostly empty,

a little tepid Bourbon

while words appear

on the back of my eyes,

Erato.

Art Deco gown slides smooth

across her breasts, eyelids a

languid dream inspired by

by the feel of satin on skin;

sugar, caffeine, and music keep

time with the sway and twirl

of her coming...

coming...

Eyes closed to hold this

glissade

Anda one, anda two, anda...

pick up that pen, the one that

writes like ice on glass

words woven in the satin

of her voice when

she whispers,

write about me...”

Your last line cracked me up and reminded me of the erm "attention seeking twat" (that's as polite as I could put it in case any pointless snowflakes are reading and get ever so affended) that started messaging everyone saying something along the lines of "wrote about me, b***h!"
Surprisingly the only one I know of that did was Sir Noodle of Einsteinia and if I recall it was a pretty damn good retort. (I'll send you the link if I can find it. 😃
So Vol, was your fancy tickled?
I like it when people use phrases from the long ago because it let's me imagine snowflakes asking Siri or Alexa if they've just been offended! 😃
I know I shouldn't but I just can't help it, due mainly to their own self importance, which I'd why all I've got left to say to them, while putting a pair of underpants on my head and two pencils up my nose, is "wibble!" (Shh, but it's an old Blackadder scene( 😃
Now back to the review of your piece, because if I mention snowflakes again they might try to have me cancelled, whatever that means. Maybe they'll take away my Blockbuster rental card or my "melt all snowflakes" membership! 😃
I did enjoy your piece Vol, buy I just got carried away from being thoroughly underwhelmed by snowflakes/millennials own importance and let's face it, they pretend to be too cool to even register my existence, so f@#k the little a#@%!&€*s anyway. (They probably think I just called them funk assistants anyway)
😃
Ps... promise my next review will be a proper review and not even mention those pointless little turds.
Pps, sorry again. I went into a coffee shop today and saw those pointless wannabe hipsters that look like they've pritt-sticked some pubes on their face, while pretending to ignore everyone, while simultaneously hoping no one notices they've been on the same page of that Kerouac book since last October!

Oh the deliciousness of the silken and that the way it sways to the beat within your own mind. The way a pen can glide across paper to describe these private elated moments

I love the creativity poured into this piece and the magnificent description poured into the parched paper telling of its secrets and mystify moments
