CAMEMBERTA Poem by VolI was young, and that’s my excuse, I just did not know when I saw the little wheel of cheese so soft and creamy on the label.
I thought, “how sophisticated, how continental, I‘ll impress myself and everyone else, besides.”
When Saturday came, I opened the Chenin Blanc, broke a crusty loaf, lit new candles, and cut the foil…
Next day, the guy at the store said “It is supposed to smell like that!” but gave my money back.
All I can say is, no wonder no one likes the French. © 2024 VolFeatured Review
