TAINI

TAINI

A Poem by Vol

That half peach moon,
like a tilted cup
at the end of the road
I’m traveling slips
naked through a thin
cloud on her way down.
Her back arches in lunar
tension before settling
between two lifted,
Appalachian knees.
Her blue eyes, for the
second time this month,
beckon my wanderlust
toward the horizon
where she waits,
offering shared nectar
for my slow motion
passage.
