QUIET BREATHA Poem by VolThe clay pot on the ground near the well holds the breath of distant stars inside its dark yet goes unnoticed.
It is cracked and chipped, but its round shape is pleasing to the eye, and has been long cherished, if little used.
Twice it spilled, once to crack and once to chip, and is not whole, but still fulfills its noble purpose, holding the breath of distant stars. © 2024 VolReviews
