How to forget your problems.. go to a bar, turn on the jukebox, order a bourbon and soda and meet some like minded people; then enjoy drinking, laughing, and all the meeting of the eve… while the world is in chaos…. Nicely crafted!
Warmly, B
I think you have a good remedy there for dealing with all the shite in the world Vol:) Your pub sounds inviting:) Have a good Wednesday.

Many have forgotten what it to let go and enjoy life. They have forgotten how to socialize and find common ground

There was a time when folks went for evening walks and stopped to visit those they passed. Suddenly, there was NO ONE there, now we live in basements glued to the artificial, virtual emptiness of what our lives have become. Any experience we value is determined by how much we spent to have it.

While we may not visit them at their houses we do talk to them when they are outside. However I don’t talk to people I don’t know when I go for walks.

The most memorable ones were unpleasant and had to to do with Chicago. Once, though, I was running away from the bitter cold of Wisconsin because I wa from Florida. When I left Wisconsin on January 18th ut was 20 below and the wind chill was 68 below. I saw nothing relating to actual dirt until some tall grass poked out of the snow about two thirds of the ways down Illinois. When I got to Cairo, it was time for breakfast and I had some of the best homemade biscuits, gravy eggs and ham I've ever had... I learned that even Yankees know how to cook. RESPECT!

Or at least they don't drink in the pubs I drink in! ☺
