I AM

I AM

A Poem by Vol

At six, I was an earthy I Am,

who lived at the center of every

Universe I made. My red blood

spoke truth. From dust I made

a robber in the woods,

with bow and arrow,

a quick-draw horseman

with a flurry of fists and

a jungle king to swim naked

With  Maureen O‘Sullivan.

I danced in my holiness

and did not care

what anyone thought.

Frantic desires -- So incredibly vagrant and wild, so spontaneous and constant, but also so incredibly innocent. That is what I was reminded of by your poem, author Vol. Childish desires encourage creativity, such is a wonder thing.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful work, author Vol, I wish you a nice day.

And yet we lose that self for learning that we are not held in such high esteem as others, who obviously think themselves the centre of the universe, until someone tells them to grow up and we all start feeling that little bit less special.
And does it make us happy? I'm a word, no!
But I would rather hold on to kid me for as long as I can, than let the establishment break me down any further.
If I weren't so scared of breaking a hip, I'd revel by wearing heelies and terrify the hell out of kids by aiming right at them, like tenpin bowling, all the while laughing and gain a following as the octo-rebels... Okay, I will have to wait until I am an octogenarian, but that is the only Warming they'll get.
