BLUE MOON GIRL

BLUE MOON GIRL

A Poem by Vol
"

In 2012, there was a Blue moon in December, and another in August of 2013, This year, there will be four in a row... June 23, July 22, Aug. 20 and Sept. 19.

"

In the Ides of this blue moon August,

Rhiannon waxes for the second time around,

so I stand on this dark tor where we,

enchanted,

traveled down time and into memory.

The mummer of mystic voices

no longer drifts up from the forest

and I am pinned to the ground

by an array of stars who sing

in the voice of a lonely

blues guitar, and remember

how we danced with our lips

in the cool air, and swayed slow

and sensual to a rhythm of our own.

very beautiful, and you are a heaven watcher as well! I love watching the skies, wish I could afford a telescope, that is where you would find me, with paper and pen in hand. Love a blue moon! it is so romantic but in reality it is very chaotic out there, well, I guess some romances are the same. Here's to heavenly romance and not chaotic universe ones, Cheers!

Nice poem. Could mystic voices be disembodied spectral mummerings? I play some blues guitar. We have had many once in a blue moons all summer.

I heard a blue moon girl came a visiting last night, but I couldn't see her behind a rather unappealing layer of thick cloud!
If only I had known, I'd have tried to catch her! 😊
But I think your tale wins over my what could been Vol. I did try to make it obvious by wearing my penguin onesie, but she must have had trouble seeing a man penguin standing in his garden in the middle of nowhere! 😊

A fabulous write. The heavens can certainly evoke memories. Your blue moon girl, the subject of some delightfully sensual poetry. Great lines here Vol.
