GENESIS

GENESIS

A Poem by Vol

In the beginning was the Word

and the Word created a use for itself

let there be galaxies

from the chaos and fill the void

with hate, desire, joy, despair, and

love enough to die for…

a cosmic suicide.

In the beginning was the word

and I saw that it was good

a small wavelet in the stream

so I create with it

a use for pens and processors

to prick the ear then die

a quiet little suicide.

And would that word have perchance been.... Microsoft? 😊
It really is a pity it was a word and not a phrase or recipe, but if it was, I think it would have been...
Take everything,
Shake vigorously
And wait a few billion years to settle...
and see what weird s**t comes out of that 😊
But it might just explain a lot of consusion in my childhood, because I remember that line "and the word was good", from church and thought it was weird that the first word was good. I mean, surely hello would have been better and at least led to a conversation or two.
Maybe that priest was right and I will burn in hell, but then again, maybe he will too, for scaring the s**t out of six year old me just for asking whoever was next to me if I heard him right and the first word was good? 😊
Anyway, he was really old even then so has probably beaten me there already! 😊

Vol,

Is it not odd, that in passage of Genesis' "Let us make man in our image," it doth appear as sincerely true but altogether askew that Man dost possess each and every single possibility's possible personality trait's characteristic that the God of the Bible (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) is said to exhibit, portray, and personify to alleged Divine extent (creating, hating, loving, saving, destroying, killing, providing, requiring, warring, & ignoring). If as such were true, then, it is no wonder that this world (third rock from Sol the Sun/Son we call Earth) is such a fucked up place to exist, live, and die, in, leaving no doubt that all the known Universe of existence within all Existence is very likely, also, a damn fucked up place of a mess to exist in, too, as well, to, hereto therefore, beg a logically derived common horse sense answer to the obvious philosophical question of who or what set such an ego-maniacal maniac loose as a feigned-as-inane-sadistic Creator so full of Himself that He takes reeks of taking glee in squishing a bug of a slug that just so happens to be Man as Jane and Joe average Human Beings so tiny in all of that is analysis' perspective of actually being lower on Existence's measureable playing field's scale than even is — in all practicality of factual actuality's reality — that smallest particle placed well below the physical size's level of that of neutrons, electrons, protons, or bygone by God love songs of all Humanity that dies at the hands of an alleged all knowing, all powerful, ever present of everywhere at the same time in time of no time at all as that Ultimate It Peeping Tom's Pervert of a Personal(?) God that would take pleasure of vengeance's leisure of we living creatures that, of necessity's must be, are but spics and specks of microscopic realities within that world wherein we exist that is but a grain of sand in honestly sincere comparison's comparison to the vast expanse of our known Universe? I enjoyed this excellently written fine read ...

Oh clever and nice. Multi layered and whimsical at the same time.

Ken,
Thank you...

Nice work Vol. I wondered if the word was intended to be God. On reading a few times I felt the creation of all things and how insignificant we are in this universe we share and how we all die a little everyday. Anyway thoroughly enjoyed this fine write.
