I have wondered that very thing myself before, but it made my head ouchy, so I went to splash in puddles and soon forgot about it.
Like infinity wasn't big enough to give you a migraine, now all those pasts are playing on the universes multiplex, does it make infinity more cramped or even infiniitier than we could even think enough to comprehend when it was only full of now.
Phew, I'll just take a migraine pill now because it's certainly on its way, again.
I remember seeing the double slit experiment, where photons are fired one at a time and depending on how many slits are open, having my mind blown when it (singular) went through both at once, and not just that, but in a pattern that becomes more complex the more you do it.
I swore there and then to give up thinking, but I must have a double slit brain, because no matter how hard I try, thoughts still get thru. Even if I put my fingers in my ears! 😊
I think the conclusion I came up with is, life is weirder than we ever can or will think.
But then I thought of infinity and past, present and future again and my brain melted and dribbled out my ear.
Best advice is to hum made up tunes over and over. If you concentrate enough on that, you'll never hear another thought creeping through your slits again! 😊

I wonder why our consciousness is imprisoned inside these tiny skulls... The Quantum guys keep hinting that the universe is conscious... which, I think, would mean that all elements, emotions, thoughts, matter, energy are a part of that, are somehow striving towards some kind of union, or fullness with that consciousness? As though anything in that reality would be comprehensible at all... I can say for sure, that math isn't the right place to look.
I think I need to go lie down, now.

Can you separate spirit from soul?
I thought they were of the same essence ..
A bit of a pantheist myself , everything is one and one is the universe .... well just my humble thoughts

I find plenty of room in pantheism for Christianity. A conscious, aware, and caring universe is little different from the God presented in the Bible. Omniscience, omnipotence, and existing in non-linear time are the atributesof a pantheistic God, whether we call it YHWH or not. Anything in the written texts of the Judeo/Christian literature that denies or contradicts that possible reality would be the result of misunderstanding, lack of study, shallow thinking, and some deliberate misdirection. I am a Christian believer, but I am neither ignorant nor stupid, and realize that most people who reject the basic truths of Christianity are really rejecting the church and the evil it has done. The Gospel is simple, Love God, Love everybody, live abundantly... everything else is just the self-aggrandizing church. Biblical ethics and morality are a rather extensive guide to personal and community well-being, and do little harm (unlike the church and it's untaught, ignorant followers. Isis is famous for its illiterate warriors who are unable to even read the Koran and are little different from the majority of Western churchers who have no excuse. Sorry, I'm really not trying to sermonize, one of the precepts I follow is "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." That is my goal, and my favorite people do the same and recognize everyone's right to get where they are going without judgement from the rest of us. We all work in the same context as "ugly bags of water" floundering around, looking for clues.

" do i do what is best for me ,or do less but be a more humble and caring person for everyone else?"... mmm , most moder people would not humble themselves for someone else , but at the end of the day there is more peace in doing what is best for the "One" as a whole thatn in selfish ego. I have an attraction for the Jewish way of life although beibng baptised in the church. I don't know this is , maybe it's something left over from another energy of existance ? . Anyway it is good to discuss these things openly Von ...

There is a town in England known for its cheese which is aged in a nearby cave. Someone finally explored its depths and discovered the ten thousand year old remains of a man. For a lark they tested its DNA against longtime residents, ands they found a direct line male decedndant. A small town with anywhere from a hundred to a thousand stable residents could probably live the idyllic kind of life you describe... one where everyone knows everyone, and all work together for everyone's wellbering. Wouldn't it be nice for folks to encourage everyone's talents and abilities?
There are so many of us, no one cares.

I live in Yorkshire a very large county in Northern England.Years ago when most of England was agricultural, people did not move around and married within their own communities so most of the people say in a small village would be related in some way to everyone else ... some never left that few square miles in their lifetime. This is what you ae describing as close knit communities. It was only with the advent of steam that people moved away , ant the industrial revolution that helped people to not just be confined to agriculture.
life was hard but they had the comfort of each other in those days ..
