GHOSTA Poem by VolI'm not sure I'm happy with the title, open to suggestions...I wish you had come over like you said you would. The bourbon was smooth with a caramel finish, and the Delta eight a sweet icing on the cake. At times like these, everything melts like a Dali pocket watch.
That fat couch in the quiet room with the books and music needed something. A spark of red like the dress you wore when we met on the sidewalk and shared my umbrella this afternoon. I chilled a bottle of Merlot, but not to worry, another time, maybe.
I feel like New Mexico. There are hidden places to take your breath, give your eyes a beauty bath. Little towns in the mountains where artists mine media from the rocks and do things with clay. Like that pottery woman who sculpts first, then shoots it with her thirty thirty. Exit wounds curled out like flower petals. Fired in bright colors.
You should have come over, we could have made plans.
