Visible Chaos

Visible Chaos

A Poem by Voidless

The sun passed across the pale sky
and shone across her pretty face.
Standing enamored yet dignified,
They laugh and point yet have no idea.
They aren’t you.

Her eyes smile brighter than her lips
and her laugh illuminates your world.
You see her with no words to blind you
None of your own.
Their words sting like venom.

Acceptance lost all meaning
when it was said to you last.
They tell you they accept you for you
then they berate you for being you.
You say to her “I love you” whilst staring down the barrel of their hot gun.

"Her" is singular, "They" and "Their" both plural. Both seem to be the enemy. Dangerous place.
