WarA Poem by VoidA basic poem of the horrors of war, and how its not always as black and white as it may seem
We rush in assault,
to kill them, it's their fault. They are the ones children fear. They are the monsters who hold nothing dear. So now we climb their walls, so sheer, to get over and destroy them. Flashing guns, blood, the color of ruby red gems. Victory cheers are in order, for the evil ones have been killed. All is well or so it seems, for far away a woman's heart is filled with hell. "Mommy when is dad coming home", and so with a dead stare the woman begins to cry. "Soon honey." On the border a monster says goodbye. Dying only for what he believed in. Crying because he cant see his love or kin. Death overcomes him, and far away, a woman's heart grows dim © 2013 VoidAuthor's Note
