Mercy to the Story Tellers

Mercy to the Story Tellers

A Poem by Dominic Freschi
"

A poem about the biggest mistake.

"
No one shows mercy to a liar.
We are a race left to our solitude.
An embrace is always stolen.
A kiss is never wet, beds having been laid upon.
What if we are not willingly hiding?
The truth escapes us, people are afraid.
I couldn't control it, my heat beat to the rhythm of the story.
Each new detail, another nail.
Each new participant, the game continues.
A loss of identity, insanity without remorse.
What forgiveness do I deserve, they stare so viciously.
Fearful for the aftermath, the story continues.

the sedimentary nature of lies...interesting. easy to get caught up in the rush. but don't be fooled. people love it. lol! especially when they finally figure it out.....and pounce.

I like this it is so truthful too. Very well said!

This makes a very fair point and takes on a perspective I expect not many have dared to consider. There is a reason behind everything, rather than people trying to understand why others lie, create stories etc they merely turn from them.

The poem itself is well written with good flow and ease of understanding.
