Darkened Sun

Darkened Sun

A Poem by Voice Crowe

She never felt love so strongly
Than the love you gave to her
Even though she'd treat you poorly
You never would surrender
She would pull you near
Then push you away
She couldn't conquer her fear
She couldn't be saved
You tried and you tried
You sacrificed your heart
She cried and she cried
As she tore you apart
She never wanted to hurt you
You were the love of her life
There was something more she was going through
A storm within her soul causing the strife
It's over now, the darkness won
You each walk your separate ways
You drift towards a darkened sun
And your heart will belong to her for the rest of your days

I do believe so
This is a strong and profound piece! I was deeply moved in my perusal of it. If you don't mind my saying, the "storm within her soul....strife" line has a bit of musicality issues, but the poem overall is filled with strong and vivid imagery, and the narrative is deeply poignant. This is a poem that's going to go far indeed! Well done!
