If Everyone CaredA Poem by VoiceIf Everyone Cared From underneath the trees, we watch the sky Voices spread like wildfire One turns to two Two to four Each telling another And adding one more And in the air the fireflies They sing to us of beauty And a world that is kind One that if we look for We will actually find They sing to us of hope And hope that we hear If we listen to them We’ll be released from our fear Singing Amen, I, I'm alive They need us to speak up And join in the fight We know as well as them In this world what is right And as we lie beneath the stars The tune of possibility and change Is what each voice has shared Can you imagine what it would be like If everyone cared? If everyone cared and nobody cried Inspired & infused with NickleBack’s If Everyone Cared Dedicated to Mariska Hargitay & The Joyful Heart Foundation © 2010 VoiceReviews
