Black Widow

 

I grew up a poor child

And my mother always told me

Find someone with money

Whom to marry

Divorce his butt

And demand your half

On our yacht to Puerto Rico

We’ll have a good laugh

My mother was smart

And her idea would keep us fed

But I thought wouldn’t it work better

If my husband was dead

I took my looks very serious

And I married quite well

My husband couldn’t have known

That he just entered hell

You see, I killed my first husband

With his very own gun

I told the judge he was abusive

And my court case was won

I inherited one million dollars

And a house on the lake

My dinners now consist

Of lobster, truffles, and steak

My second husband

Was the judge from my case

He said he fell in love with me

When he first saw my face

He was a really big fish

With plenty of dough

What I had in store for him

It was too late to know

Don’t get me wrong

He was a nice guy

But watching a life end

Is like getting high

He spent one night drinking

And by a window passed out

I put a noose around his neck

And then pushed him out

Three million dollars more

And another big house

I’m now on the lookout

For my next spouse

The cops cannot catch me

I am too smart

My venom is powerful

I will take your heart

I loved it voice ! It was eery but great !

I loved this! Really dark and such a creative perspective. Towards the end as I was reading out loud, the beat kinda fell apart for me at "I put a noose around his neck
and then pushed him out"
Maybe add
"I put a noose 'round his neck
and then pushed his a*s out"
Might add to the cold blooded aspect with a little swearing : )
This was a really fun poem to read and give vent to the dark side thats in each of us.
