Eye's Can't Tell LiesA Poem by Voice
Eye’s Can’t Tell Lies Loneliness, lust Pity and patients Happiness, hostility Seduction and sadness Hate and love Trust and distrust Evil and innocents Just and unjust Whatever the emotion It cannot hide For eyes tell the truth They have never lied They can tell you stories Of pain and despair Past heartaches Too hard to share They can tell of secret loves Romance and joy Or the dreams hidden inside Every little girl and boy Eyes are the windows Into the soul And without them We would never be whole They have a gift Though they could not know The type of person inside Is who they always will show
