MIA

MIA

A Poem by Voice
"

Dedicated to the soldiers missing in action

"

M.I.A

Days turn into nights

Nights into days

Still the war wages on

The sound of guns rings out in the distance

Bullets and bombs pierce the air

The desert floor shakes with the stampede of soldier’s feet

The sand is stained with the blood of our enemies

And the blood of our fallen heroes

Our men and woman push on

Some come home to hugs and kisses

Many come home draped in flags

While others never come home at all

MIA

Missing in action

Lost but never forgotten

Dedicated to the soldiers missing in action

Very appropriate. Its nice for people to think of the troops that never come home.

This is a beautifully written and heartfelt dedication to soldiers who have fought and died or survived. The ending...the lost but not forgotten part, that got me.

Perfect timing for this poem, with Memorial Day coming up on the 25th. I would love to see a time when wars are nonexistent, but I doubt if it will happen in our lifetimes. Well done as usual.

a very fine tribute to some wonderful people , fully deserving of our love , respect and support , let us also remember that they fight to give the children of the region the right to dream and once those children get to know that we all pretty much dream of the samethings . we'll find we have so much in common and our enemies will become our friends, so i for one am hoping that dreams come true for children everywhere .

very cool and well written poem. Just watch your spelling... Iraq is in the DESERT> Dessert is what you have after dinner. But otherwise great poem...

very beautiful tribute to those we should keep in our prayers and thoughts! Thank you for sharing and the reminder of those families who must endure the strain of not knowing where their husbands/sons/friends are or hearing the horrible news of their death.
