Mirage

 

today is here yet it seems so far away

what i want i can't have yet it stares me in the face

the fears of my night overpowers my day

oh, what dismay!

so i sat down to write as a pianist sits down to play

but i am a writer a poet so i rhyme my life away

as an artist paints their life away

for what is deep is unknown but what is known will not not stay

instead what i love disappears and my fears forever remains

This is a really interesting concept, I enjoyed reading! I love the line "the fears of my night overpowers my day" It's true sometimes we worry a bit too much & forget to enjoy life! Great job. ^_^
