Still

Still

A Poem by VitalianRose

Pacing back and forth
Looking for the answers
Eventually I'll remember my way north
And maybe I wont succumb to this cancer
Still I sit here
Even with only half the puzzle, I try to complete it
Confused yet focused, at the pieces I leer
One day you'll be whole, I believe it
My heart knows the answers
Every fiber knows the truth
However, I remain here still
Only I keep moving, pushing, striving
My head held high, even when I'm drowning
Eternally I still fight
Deeming everyday one for growth
As I spread my wings and take a leap
Determination fuels my flight
Dedication to myself is my new right
You won't catch me, not again

If only I had known you would leave so quickly under the light of the Moon in December...
I would have quietly asked you to remember the “Rose of Sharon” will always linger. Gently, Pat
