A dream?

A dream?

A Story by VitalianRose

I swear I saw you. I've been cooking more recently, something I used to love. But, I swear I saw you tasting my dishes. I love that look in your eyes, the tone in your voice, those four words that you say that no one else has showered me with. "I'm proud of you." Those words echo in my mind, both awake and asleep. They keep me pushing forward, and for once, I don't feel the need to look back. I will admit that I'm hitting a small spot where it's hard for me to write. My mind has run blank from being tired and working. I'm hoping Tuesday will relieve some of that emptiness. I'm thinking that I may be spending the day with my brother. He truly needs it right now. The question is, will he follow through?

catching a glimpse of someone not there.. I have experienced it.. it's been awhile.. my Mother sneaks up on me every once in a while.. but missing someone who is not dead is more difficult than the finality of death.. I am always happy after a visit from my Mom.. I don't see ghosts.. I think sometimes it's wishful thinking but dang it sure feels real..
