Simple Pleasures.

Simple Pleasures.

A Poem by PoeticSoul

A warm hug,
The soft cry of a dove,
A gentle kiss,
A whisper from soft lips,
A slow dance,
A once in a lifetime chance,
Of flowers bloom,
Of bride and groom.

A tender touch,
That look in the eye when you blush,
A silent night,
The soothing voice when you cry,
The grace in your walk,
Your lips dancing when you talk.
A beautiful sunset,
A walk on the beach till late.

A loving look,
Unseen treasure in a book,
That yearning gaze,
That does nothing but amaze,
Drops of rain,
Words that take away the pain,
Of Oceans deep and wide,
Of peace in the wild.

A taunting wink,
Of the face turned pink,
An infectious laughter,
Or the awkward morning after,
A child's precious smile,
Or a dog that would walk you through the miles.
Of trees whistling,
And the breeze whispering.

A scrumptious meal,
That fulfillment when you close a deal,
Of mountains and hills,
Of moments we are in our feels.
A dream that seems so real,
Of joyous shouts and screams.
Of good times and ice cream,
Of waterfalls and streams
And of times that time seems to stand still.
