The DreamA Poem by Vivek Koshy
The dream has been blown off.
To dare to come off, You open the loose ready to strangle; When the paroxysm of emotions; Strange ones, Pull you back. I fear death. Leads painfully; lonely and scary. Rich here; What there? The lonely pause makes me stop. The sequence of growing, Has been convulsive; Too fast. Never looked back to correct; Too soon to realize it. I always dream, That one day the peak of humans, Will be below me. Not silent, nor blind. So they look and gasp, While i struggle to be off them; The present isnt approving. The gleams of the morning dew, Not to last the noon, Is what i earn? My hands can brandish, Broken things, With no hope. But the ahead road, With cursed blessings And masquraded ambitions; I forgot to draw the pit, Where i'll lie. Fame, Believed that money, success merry; Will follow. Yet, the other shore seems so near, That the dive drowns you. Fear, That i may be no more. The dreams, ambitions- Even if my works remain; The praises to a grave i cant bear.
