Limerence

Limerence

A Poem by Vivian Gospel

Now that I am here
Where am I?
Now that you are there
How are you?
I am away
So are you
Only difference being
My solitude haunts me
As does the thought
Of me having lost you.

Is this what they call limerence?

Limerence, as I understand it, is when one is obsessed somehow with a limerent object--typically man/woman who doesn't feel the same about the one.
This is, as I understand it, what they call limerence.

It's great short-form poetry as well.

Interesting read. That can take you deeper into it. When you start to open up and let the words sink in.. MMM...

Always keen to discover a new word ~ limerence.
Personally, however, if I desire more contact from someone than what they are willing to give, I'd read between the lines and not expect more than what is reasonable. Easier said than done though ;)

Sometimes we consider someone a friend, though they only consider us an acquaintance.....when the relationship does not grow, or dies, it feels to us that we've lost a friend, though for them, it seems like "nothing". It's always sad when that happens, though in some way we brought it upon ourselves.

Great writing!

Everyone says that. Logic agrees. Heart is a useless organ. Have any pot?
