Saved

Saved

A Poem by Cordell

I am who I was than and am once more
The difference is what I am living for
This is me, why can’t you see I am setting myself free

Awkwardness lingers through their minds
They said I will leave this behind
So if it’s true, than what’s wrong with you, let me do what I want to

We’ll hold you
We’ll love you
We’ll save you

They said they are okay with it but they lied
They said that everything is fine
So if it’s true, than what’s wrong with you, let me do what I have to

They don’t understand what’s in their grasp they don’t know what to say
Hoping for a change yet they don’t know this is how I will remain… saved!

About
Been writing poetry since 1992! It was a project for high school and ever since I loved it! My poems tend to be more gothic, and about suicide and depression and the darkside of life. Sometimes there .. more..
