The Portal

The Portal

A Poem by Nix
"

Magnificence

"
What do I see as I gaze upon
These wondrous titans that shape the dawn
Their forms caress the florid sky
Their peaks they tempt the weak to fly
Their slopes they stir the wary hearted
To change their pace and trek uncharted
They talk amongst the moon and stars
And speak of worlds both near and far
I cannot fathom them from below
Their beauty instills the greatest of woes
They tower above all that is mortal
For we are just vessels and they are the portal

The sacred mountains. I grew up near Denali and the vision of it was always awe inspiring.

Well crafted poem.. I don't understand why you would hyphenate heartened, normally I see poeys doing that to force a rhyme but in this case there is no need to force it...?

Well I'm not quite sure why I did that... I will delete it.
