Chapter 8: I Propose An Offer

Tell me I wrote the chapter title out correctly... >.<

Kim Ji-Hoon woke up early on Saturday morning and made a big breakfast for the kids. When they woke up, he had them eat and got them ready...

-Kim Ji-Hoon sat the two tired children down on the couch

-Seo-Hyun yawns

"Oppa, where are we going?"

"Out for a nice walk..."

-Hyun-Woo scoffs

"Hyung... Why do you have to exercise so early in the morning? Can't you just leave us home and work out for the girls on your own?"

-Ji-Hoon glares in the young boy's direction

"Where did you learn to be so smart and snappy from? You're growing up to fast..."

-Kim Ji-Hoon picks up a leash and calls out to his dog

"Honjaui?! Where are you boy?!"

-Around the corner comes the big lovable mutt of Kim Ji-Hoon's

-As Ji-Hoon readies up Honjaui, he answers Seo-Hyun

"We are going to the park..."

-Seo-Hyun and Hyun-Woo brighten at the mention of the park... knowing exactly who they would be seeing...

 

Standing so gracefully against the park gazebo rail is Saku Hana... her bags and belongings scattered around her feet. Kim Ji-Hoon stares at the lean figure as she breathes in and out... She is very thin and looks weaker than ever. Kim Ji-Hoon puts his idea into action...

-Sitting down on his knees before Honjaui, Kim Ji-Hoon points in Saku's direction

"You see her? You like her right? Go say hi..."

-Ji-Hoon releases Honjaui from his color and the dog sprints off to greet Saku by jumping up behind her to pull her down from behind

-Ji-Hoon lets out a chuckle as Saku falls down and is greeted by a series of licks to the face

-He can hear her happy laughter from where he stands

-Kim Ji-Hoon grabs the younger children's hands and leads them to the park gazebo

-When he is close enough, he sees the reason why Honjaui is licking Saku so much more than he regularly would: She is convered in flour and raw eggs

"Saku... what the hell happened to you?"

-Her laugh faded and when she looked at him, he flinched

-Saku's face was bruised and cut... her hair was pulled back in a sloppy ponytail and stuck together in places where the raw egg dried... her clothes was slightly damp... all that with a coating of flour...

-She scoffed

"What did I tell you about using that kind of language in front of children?"

-Seo-Hyun and Hyun-Woo fought from Ji-Hoon's grip and tackled Saku Hana

"Unnie!!"

"Noona!!"

-Saku hugged them awkwardly and gently pushed them back

"Don't get yourselves dirty... your older sister is covered in flour and eggs..."

-Saku slowly pushed herself into a sitting position and struggled to stand

-Ji-Hoon helped her stand up slowly... it seemed the car accident didn't fully leave her body

"Your fan girls found out that I stay here... I fought most of them off... and then I got floured and egged..."

-Saku pushed Kim Ji-Hoon away with a nod of gratitude when she regained her balance and strength

-Honjaui stood on his hind legs and Saku took his front legs in her grip to balance him as he too also... hugged if you would call it... her

-Another lick to the cheek and he was down on all fours again, eagerly taking the head rub that Saku supplied him

-Saku let out a sigh

"So what do you want Kim Ji-Hoon?"

 

"For you to take these two brats off of my hands so that I can get back to band practice to make money again and you to be so much more careful and not hurt yourself so much so that I can stop worrying about you every hour of the day..."

 

-Kim Ji-Hoon sighed as well

"I wanted to discuss some things with you..."

-Saku raised an eyebrow but nodded

"Go on..."

-Kim Ji-Hoon looked at his cousins and pointed to the opposite end of the gazebo

-They nodded and walked across, Honjaui following behind them

-Saku scoffed

"Do they really need-"

"Its about them..."

-Saku remained quiet

"Look... I can't... I'm not patient... I don't..."

"You can't take care of kids? You can't babysit?"

-Kim Ji-Hoon looked away

"I don't have that kind of patience... and... well, they are staying for longer than I can handle..."

"So what do you want me to do? Babysit?"

"Exactly... I'll... pay you if you want... but I seriously need them off of my hands... I've only had them for a week or so and they drive me nuts..."

-Saku suddenly laughs

"The amazing Kim Ji-Hoon can't babysit his own cousins?!"

-Ji-Hoon growls

"Cut the laugh..."

-Saku clears her throat

"Okay... back to business... I'd love to help out with the kids... but, what am I supposed to do? I can't take care of them here... And If they stay with me... they'll be in too much danger... plus... what am I supposed to do when they get hungry? And this isn't the best place to sleep. The school isn't paying very much either..."

-Ji-Hoon paused before slowly giving her an answer

"You can... stay at my house and take care of them until they have to go... and I'll give you a good pay... and I'll... I'll help you get back onto your feet..."

-Saku's expression darkened

"How exactly can you help me get back up onto my feet?"

-Ji-Hoon pondered the question

"Well, for starters... I can give you about $25 a day since you'll basically be taking care of them 24/7... and... I can probably get rid of your debt for you..."

-Saku's jaw dropped at the mention of so much money at the disposal of the intelligent man in front of her

"How rich are you?! Do you just snap your fingers and money just appears in front of you?!"

"... Don't want to speak of the source of the money... will you take my offer or not?!"
