Chapter 6: Tennis Competition

Saku Hana has set aside her actions from that Friday night and is now confidently preparing for the tennis tournament that looms before her. Early this morning, Saku woke up and took a bus with the remaining money she had to the location of the competition. Upon her arrival, she was greeted by many who she would compete against. Saku, correctly dressed and armed with her tennis racket, is waiting for the beginning of the tournament...

 

-Saku is nervously pacing back and forth... she hated waiting for the competition

-She looks around and takes in all the people who would be watching er performance

-Her eyes found the trophey and the huge check

-Saku Hana jumps when she realizes that the tournament is about to begin

 

The rest of the pages basically deals with the wins that Saku Hana has achieved... she is slowly making her way to the top...

And while Saku works hard, Tsuyoi arives to watch her performance without her even knowing.

 

-Tsuyoi is watching intently from the sidelines

-He pays attention to Saku's speedy movements

-He notices her strength

-He notes her detemination

"All that training really paid off... Good luck Saku!!"

 

Saku has made it to the final battle. She is tired and worn out from her efforts... The players were given some time to relax before facing off... so Tsuyoi decides to go see Saku while the crowd stretches for a few...

 

-Saku's face lights up at the sight of Tsuyoi

-Tsuyoi gives her a hug and pats her head

"You did really well!!"

-Saku gently slaps Tsuyoi's hand away

"How long have you been here Tsuyoi Senpai?"

"I got off work early and made it during the middle of the games."

-Saku huffs and sits down

"Uhg... did you see the girl I'm facing?! She looks like she wants to kill me!"

-Tsuyoi takes a peek at the girl Saku is indicating: She is tough... but pretty... Looks really serious about the games and when she noticed him conversing with Saku, she gave him a dirty look

-Tsuyoi looks back at Saku

"... Good luck kiddo... she looks like she wants to chew through your spinal cord and rip out my heart!!"

-Saku gets up and punches him

"Go sit down... I have to face off with her soon!"

 

The relaxation time is over and Saku and the girl are now standing on the tennis court. The girl is serving first. With a powerful strike, the girl starts the games... and Saku's fight for survival...

 

-Saku is tirelessly running back and forth to protect the tennis ball

-The girl continuously tries to beat Saku, aiming her hits towards Saku's weak spots

-Saku can feel her energy quickly depleting... but she fights on... for each loss she gets... she wins twice more

-The fight is running thin, with Saku at the losing end...

-Finally, the girl realizes that Saku is completely out of energy

-Saku can feel her legs burning and she knows that she is tripping over herself

-The girl, in an attempt to finally end the game, swings her racket hard

-In a desperate attempt to save herself, Saku races to counter the tennis ball, basically throwing herself at the last minute

-Unfortunately, Saku just misses the tennis ball

-As Saku hits the ground, the crowd cheers at the loss of Saku and the championship of the girl

-Saku lies on the ground for a while... only breathing... but she gets up soon and brushes herself off...

-The cameras would be flashing... she knew... so she put on a smile and set up a 'happily accepting defeat' facade

-The girl is awarded with the trophey and the huge check... pictures and flowers...

-Saku stands just out of shot of the photos and stares on...

-When she is invited to take a picture with the champiion, she does not refuse

-The girl is able to get in a sneer at Saku... but Saku, not wanting to stoop to the girl's level, returns the sneer with a great big smile

-Saku stands beside the girl and poses

-After the photoes, Saku meets up with Tsuyoi, who offers her a ride home

-Saku does not refuse this either

 

Saku is in the car with Tsuyoi... it is dark and she is tired... Saku leans over and gives Tsuyoi a kiss on the cheek before getting out of the car and waving him off... she isn't prepared for what she sees next though...

 

-Saku is just in front of her appartment door when... the door opens and a group of moving men greet her...

Author's Note

the chapter is short, but it really only pays attention to the tennis tournament... hopefully the book version will be more detailed
