Chapter 1: Hard Life

This is the Manga Version, try to imagine

The dream before the chapter starts:

-A girl is playing the violin/piano/koto; she is playing in front of a crowd, very popular. Roses are thrown and wads of money are handed to her

-In another screen, she is walking into a big house

-She is greeted by a handsome man and children… it seems like life is pretty easy and nice for her

-BANG!!!- Books fall, showing the girl jumping in fright out of a peaceful sleep

(Chapter Picture will/might be of Saku Hana with the violin and Kim Ji-Hoon with the guitar)

-Two girls are talking to the girl…

"Good afternoon Saku Hana..." the first says

"Morning Irei..." Saku waves

-The second girl pays attention to a couple kissing in the back of the class

-Saku gets her attention

"They just started going out, Goshippu, your thoughts and rumor are going to be correct... you happy?"

"Of course! At least I only spread rumors that are true! Ah... so how are you doing Hana? You've been sleeping a lot more often in class..." Goshippu laughs

Saku waves a hand at the question, "Ahaha... I'm fine... just... busy is all..."

Irei doesn't take it, "You've been overworking yourself haven't you? And I know you are still looking for more work!"

"Irei, she's been studying like crazy for the upcoming exams as well... you can so tell by how many books she's been carrying around..." comments Goshippu

"And why shouldn't I? Goshippu, shouldn't you be studying?!" 

"Who the heck studies in class 3-F?! Plus, my family is rich... I don't even need to do anything when I'm older... I could help you too!"

Saku and Irei snort. "Some of us actually want to do something or be successful when we're older... and I don't think your parents would appreciate us mooching off of them for the rest of our lives..." groans Irei

Saku comments, "Yeah, I know your parents love us and all... but I don't think they want to spend so much of their money paying off that huge debt on my back..."

"So, you're still fighting with that... no wonder you want more work... Hana, does that restaurant pay you well?" Irei asks

"Can I see your watch Goshippu?" Saku ask

-Goshippu holds her hand out for Saku

-It is 3:30

-Saku grabs her things

"Sorry guys, but I have to be at the restaurant at 4:30!! Bye!! Visit, okay?!"

-Saku runs

 

Saku is in front of an apartment… go to her door, on it is a sign that reminds her that she will lose her house if she cannot pay

-Saku walks in, crumbles the paper, throws it, and slumps to the ground

-All the furniture in her room has red stickers (means it will be taken away)

"I can't seem to make enough money to even keep my furniture..."

-Show papers with colleges on them

-Saku picks them up

"Should I even pay attention to college right now? When I can't even afford an apartment room? Uhg!! All this damn stress... I need to get to work d****t..."

-With a sigh, she goes and changes into a dress, grabs a violin case and a long case as well, her koto

"Damn thing is heavy..."

Saku is in a restaurant playing the violin/koto; she is busy and also must help wait the tables

-Saku finishes a violin piese with her partner

-Her boss calls

"Saku, you need to wait a table!"

-Saku gives her violin to her partner

"Can't you play without me?"

"They request both of us... and only you can play all three instruments... sorry, but..."

"It's fine..."

-She continues this busy schedule

-Towards the end, she ends up messing up a Koto piece from exhaustion

"It's not like you can play! So don't go and criticize my performance!"

-Saku is tired and the clock shows 10:30

-She sits down and eats dinner grumpily

"D****t, I'm working this late... don't even get a good pay even though I work extra... I can't even stay awake during performances..."

-Her boss sits down with her

“Hey Saku, great work today, you did well!! How are things?”

“…”

“Still the same, huh?”

“…”

“Ah, I’ve been well! My girlfriend is getting ready for college, my restaurant is booming, my house just got renovated, I got a raise and-“

“Give me my damn paycheck and stop boasting to me! I don’t want to hear about your perfect life!!”

“Well, feisty are we…”

“Give it to me… I need to go home and write out reports for school…”

-He hands her an envelope

-Saku bows… leaves with her things

 

Back at her apartment room

-Shows Saku lying on the floor, her paycheck is lying on the ground (small amount)

-Textbooks are piled and a report is lying on top, a couple reports

-Saku is looking at a bunch of bills that she needs to pay

-Flinging them, she rolls over

-The clock shows 5:10

"Hm... my life sucks..."

-Show a picture of her parents and her as a kid, candles lit for them with incense…

"I'm sorry that I can't even support myself... I'll be on the streets soon... I'm sorry I failed you..."

-Saku sighs and rolls on her back

"I can't think about all this right now... I should rest while I can..."

-She shuts her eyes

-Later, the alarm on her clock goes off: 5:30

"DAMN THIS CLOCK TO HELL!! I CAN'T EVEN SLEEP!!!!!

-Saku angrily throws her blanket and slams the alarm clock onto the ground

-There is a knock from below from Saku's neighbor who is quite angry

"Hey, quiet down up there! Some people want to sleep at this time young lady!!"

-Saku screams back

"At least you can sleep ya old hag!!!"

"How rude!"

-The old woman quiets down

-She gets ready for school with a growl

Author's Note

I'll probaly fix the time so that it is Military Time when I draw the manga out
