The Break Up

The Break Up

A Poem by Jason Toomey
"

I think you know why I wrote this...

"
The break up

Got both of them fucked up

He cries and sleeps more

She eats more and doubles the makeup

They have to ask themselves "why" because they're scarred to send a message in their draft box

They dread love like lochs

The lochness monster seems realer than the nightmare consuming the only love they ever knew

He's sad, the mutual break up felt ok the day it happened. But waking up without that goodmorning baby text the next day assured him that they were through..

His days seem longer and that doesn't help when time is supposed to heal all wounds.

He bought her stuff on ebay and he knows he's not ready to sign for that watch and perfume.

Her Heart hurts and she knows she's skinny and she's scarred people can her broken heart pieces through her chest.

She is an online gamer and she can't even play those games anymore because she remembers all the missions they did together.

Everything makes them think of each other.

So many insiders aren't always a good thing

He's hurt and can't even look at the word derp he now hate birds

She hates freckles and forehead kisses

Nights are dark there's no stars yet they both waste wishes

They think "do we feel the same"

brain wants to move on

But the heart screams stay

They both pulled Cupid's arrow out
But they didn't know that when they first hugged Cupid snuck and super glued their hearts together

Everyday is rainy even If it's great weather

Is the meaning of forever a year..

A life jacket couldn't help then from drowning in tears

October isn't the same. It feels darker than usual

They love Halloween but this isn't what they're used to though

More pain than the Akatsuki

You don't have to be Itatchi to see the hurt behind their smile

It's one a matter of time before they snap like crocodiles

To cope she stays in,

And he'll just dip off for a while.
