Humour's Toll

Humour's Toll

A Poem by Visharad Srivastava

I was laughing at their jokes
As if my senses have gone rogue
They were making fun of the guy in the glasses
They called him names like goat
He felt bad about it I suppose
But they told him to be a sport

Then everyone switched to harmless jokes
With no intention to hurt anyone's feeling or so
But everyone started to get really bored
Then I thought " Humour has become cliche oh no ! "
Its no fun until you disgust someone on the go
That's how most of people do
Then I figured that's the price of Humour's toll
