Cinnabar Snake

Cinnabar Snake

A Poem by Virginia Mackenzie
"

In Chinese Astrology 1965 is the year of the Snake. I am a snake. The snake's motto is "I feel". The Mayans used cinnabar to protect their sacred stone carved tablets.

"

Cinnabar snake

I feel.
Transmuting poison.
Eternal incubation.
Eminent sense

I feel.
Internal convergence.
Disinter secrets
Temporal mastery

I feel.

The immanent.
The beginning.
The end.
