Haute CoutureA Poem by Samantha ~virginpoetabout the dark side of fashion and what the woman waring the dress MIGHT be like or might be going throughThe night of the red carpet
Flashing lights and bright darkness The crowd has gathered closely like million man marches The limo pulls up slowly Glossy as far as folks see The supermodel steps out so polished like a trophy Her dress is custom-fitted Gaultier and expensive Knitted with full precision Accented like it’s British Bodyguards are on stand-by Explosive scene like landmines The fans scream in amazement at how she wears the brand lines Chanel-type of demeanor Versace-minded dreamer She skipped her meals earlier Merely to appear leaner Low self-esteem high tension Secrets she cared to mention What’s the need for food when she can live off of attention She’s worshiped like a goddess Rocks that Dior the hottest Got various walk styles None are humble or modest Louis Vuitton vanity Matched with cash insanity Lived only for the glamor and lost her humanity Madison Avenue b***h Tragic Rodeo Drive witch She flew to Champs Élysées on a Givenchy broomstick She’s f*****g with a surgeon He said she looks too urban And that operation hurt the first time like a virgin Three bottles of Moscato drove her drunken bravado Her constant mantra was the "You Only Live Once” motto The faux faith of the masses So bougie and high-fashioned For the sake of appearance she burned her soul to ashes By Samantha Campbell © 2012 Samantha ~virginpoetAuthor's Note
