A Most Beguiling Call

A Most Beguiling Call

A Poem by Samantha ~virginpoet

I walked the path
of the waking dead
among the lifeless
empty and bled

Inside my being
my heart lay un-beating

Til poetry found me
and breathed new life into me

Laid in deep

Paved within

Carved and Engraved

Upon a soul’d vessel
mortal’d in this realm

and slightly out of faze

Poetry Grows

I can feel the flow deep inside
as I sip upon each read
letting each letter
intoxicate me

POETRY = Defibrillator

Shocked my heart with words

now it beats in verbs
with a rhythm beyond
a normal rhyme

Temptation throbs
pulsing though out

The want of words
preying on my hunger now

Fervent in the moment moans
pound through the sound barrier
sonic synaptic surges pulsate thru
my brain's pleasure system

Poetry your so addictive
making me your junkie w***e

Ink flows in my veins
inducing sensual labor
thru poetic labyrinths

My passion builds
as my creation spills
dancing on the cusp
between want and need
towards a most beguiling call

P-o-e-t-r-y

She sings to me
from her
Melodic
Dream
Lounge

Eat me
Breathe me
Ink me

Submerge
yourself
within me

B-l-e-n-d-i-n-g
you and I
Horizon’d
between we

Illuminations
flow internally

Taking in each syllable
sliding deeper into meaning
engulfing me in verbal mist

Drips of inspiration

Flourishing rotations

Pulsating my mental grip

See she
whispers
in echoes

Whispers
in Echoes

Taunting me
from an
unturned
page

Persuading me
to lay my heart
open and bare
upon the pages
of eternity

Thoughts and beats-ONENESS
Poetry is Breathless wounds

Passion held spellbound
in Desires grip

Because through it all
Poetry saves me

And Ill sing

Self expression to the end

This is something that most poets (the true ones) relate to. One of the big reasons that we write is because it is often our saving grace. I was amused by this line.
" Poetry your so addictive
making me your junkie w***e" :p

I love this poem, really awesome job.

Has a feel from another era about it. Beautiful flow, with a feel of do you write because you can or because you must. Really enjoyed this.

Very long but amazingly well written. I love this one. Your words are very profound and hit home with an intensity too strong to describe. Well done.

If I write it I understand it and wonder
why you shake your head .
If you write it I shake my head in wonder
that this incredible, gifted person is
allowed to go without a crown, without
gems and pearls --- and I say
That is amoong the finest of all poems .
