Silent LyricsA Poem by Samantha ~virginpoetHe would
probe my words Run his fingers against my lips So he could feel every word I had to say ...This is how we kissed... Roses are red violets are blue The simplicity within it would rattle his nerves so deep his tongue would explore the depths of my metaphors until he got to the root of better concepts and if I tried to hide my ideas fingers would clinch against my chin coaxing out my innermost demons verbally Around him I didn't even own my own breath Because he would breathe for me gather enough air for us two pacing my lungs to the beat of hiakus I would inhale the alphabet to only exhale sacrilegious sonnets exclaiming he was my deity in different genres And when he'd touch me Really touch me My heart moved erratically so it would murmur broken stanzas only he could decipher And when we made love poetically metaphorically speaking His hands would seek refuge against my skin molding his love into my pores to then make me sweat rivers of prose dehydrating every inch of my soul slowly injecting me over and over with his love liquid chaos venom impregnating me Bedroom collaboration Gestation Throwing up hieroglyphics and clumps of papyrus morning sickness proving how ancient our love could really be star crossed lovers I sat in Houston's lap in a New York minute big belly bliss sneezing lullabies the way we'd stared eye contact became the silent lyrics to our love song I sang "I love you" while holding his hand Finally birthing Poetry By Samantha Campbell © 2011 Samantha ~virginpoetReviews
