Distant LandA Poem by Samantha ~virginpoetYour words are like honey on craving lips Write the words beautiful a thousand ways I come undone Time tenses inches away from our lips ready to seal us with a kiss Come closer to me Now come and walk off with me into this sun for the sake of shine You set the distance of miles I must travel A dose of truth light and flood of lies heavy send broken minds to the horizon but heartful matter materialize the broader aspect of what love is Where each pen stroke dances with perfect rhythm and harmony In each line where metaphors could take place and personify time and use similes like heart beats Beat as drums of their sonnet's vanities and haiku's commodities lifetime's work of emotional outspoken calligraphy From the paradox of love to the tentacles of lust to poetry of devotion friendship and trust we break the monotony of nights and days by weaving a fabric of feelings and phrase When I hear your creative soul speak fathomless depths My heart's a depthless ocean feeling the pull of the tide and the waves of emotion crashing up against the sides It's the return of the spit maker that conceptual can't you imagine it shaper Brush them out in flows of artful thought Write me write me a poem where the taboo word is Love instead of Sex where foreplay has been replaced with word play and the only thing I lust for is your intellect The silent and illusive try to stop the fleeting hand of time Twisting through veins And pouring from mouth Another emotion fills the well d r o p p i n g to the bottom of my heart These feelings are barely touching the surface Like the dime traveling to make ripples in the water skipping through with an unmistakable flow The stars are barely shining like their light is s-l-o-w-l-y dying the wind whispers beneath the trees loose leaves branching off to be limitless piles of burnt tragedy You have me floating oxygen depleted Love is a nameless man whose far away in a distant land He seduced me with his words He made love to my mind He commands me with his tongue and thrust visions of our passion and burning lust Wishing you were here becoming one in the groove of the moonlight Breaths between pauses fail not to gel that harmonious tune you spill ascend upon these winds of verse until we drift into Jazz By Samantha Campbell © 2011 Samantha ~virginpoetReviews
