Moonstruck

Moonstruck

A Poem by Samantha ~virginpoet

I serenade your mind
with poetic tunes
can you handle the passion
seeping from my lips
as I drip
transcendence

all over the page

I can make you
fall in love
with the way
I construct stanzas
and conduct poetry

Catching feelings
stored in heart shaped bottles
meticulously made
I'm gonna
give you
this flow
real
S-L-O-W
so you can truly
comprehend
the love I send
free verse style

You cant handle
the supremacy
of my vivacious vernacular
I spit spectacular
I got poetry flowing
through my veins
got razor tipped quills
slashing my wrists
when I bleed
I bleed passion
coated lines

Suffocation
dehydration
unrepairable
unbearable
bearing my soul
for the world to see
but no one sees
they got their eyes closed
as tight as they got
their hearts closed

I was once like them
thinking my heart
abandoned
damned
to be alone
broken down
gagging and choking
like my throat was bound
unable to make
a comprehensive sound
beat down by love
almost broken
almost defeated
but I'm a fighter
not a runner
I beat the beat down
I guess love didn't
read the sign that says
an Amazon Warrior lives here
with the pitter-patter
of a heartbeat
beating endlessly
with sweet melodies
conveying feelings
giving deep throat
breath strokes
strumming your heartstrings
like a love ballad

My tongue
is certified

with skills
to entice thrills

I wont bite
unless that's

what you like
I carry the cure
to your heart murmur
listen to me sing
the lyrics in falsetto

My cerebellum short-circuits
resulting in a malfunction
my brain cells
slowly start breaking up
into miniature molecules
ignoring my conscious reasoning
with the right side of my brain
trying to refrain
from carefully
contained memories

Smitten with love
white padded room
love is my doom
loosing my mind
as he plays with my heart
thoughts go a muck as chaos
leaves me mentally ill
shaken dizzy in a maze
~Moonstruck~
as you leave me dazed
driving me crazy
twisting up my brain
got me going insane
leaving me craving you
the way you mind f**k me
leaves me raving mad

Your the root
that just keeps pushing
through my insides
blooming inspiration
off your seasons

I'm a little more remote
from my mission
sometimes reviewing
my Romantics
with an abstract brush

My heart wrenches
from my chest
how can words
be a catalyst
for the passion
that exists between
one poet for another

You get deeper
with every stroke
your ink leaves stains
on my heart
cause I feel
every word
that you write

I cant take anymore
here baby you finish this ...

I had a completely different ending for this but I wasn't happy with it so I rewrote it Ill most likely turn that ending into another poem when I write I can usually get 2 or 3 different poems from one cause I get lead off track when an idea hits I go with it does that happen to anyone else lol makes me feel a bit scatterbrained sometimes. What inspired this well it was in part by a song I was listening to my ipod the song is called 6 foot 7 foot by Lil Wayne and Cory Gunz. There was a line in his song "I beat the beat up" and that line stuck with me and took on a life of its own

You couldn't have ended it with any other form of perfection. Lovely work.

My Poet friend. Such beauty and desire in this amazing poem. I had to read again to enjoy the powerful description. So many lines stood out in this poem.

You are very, very in-tune with capturing your audience with a seductive, lyrical downward flow of poetic.

You do indeed serenade my mind and make me fall in love with your stanzas... for the words are the tools of love, the penetration of language is the penetration of lovers... which 'gets deeper with every stroke'...
