A Consuming Hunger

You sat next to me

as I nestled into

the crook of

your arm

And

I just want

to grab you

and kiss you

all over

Not for sex

for something

more than that

For a consuming hunger

is devouring my soul

A deep seated need

that will never be sated

My blue eyes wander around

the curve of your lips

to the strength

of your jawline

to the nape

of your neck

it's then that

this desire

has taken

me over

And

I want so bad
to let my lips
linger on your neck
where my eyes have flirted
to for the past half hour

But you see

I hold back

for fear

of eating

you all up

in one bite

Just to keep

you inside

of me

Because desire

has become .... Me

A consuming hunger

for something more

Something that has no name

deeper than the lechery for

the most depraved

devious sexual

deed imaginable

Intimacy

You see it is the very

unrestrained excessive

indulgence of sexual desire

conveyed in the form of love

Because our ribs

truly are cages for our

ravenous hearts

That love to taste desire

like a heavy sweet sinew

You are

We are

I am

Tormented lust

passion like the hungry sea

and love like a storm

But he wonders how his
name tastes on my lips
as my sweet tongue
speaks as if
