Depths Of Your Heart

Love

Love

 Love 

What is in that word

that gives it such impact 

Poets and laymen

pen pretty prose

But write me a poem that

breaks hearts and frees demons

cause in the darkest hearts of men

is where real love grows

Broken bitter blue

Cause

You see

love is not

a fairy tale

it is agony

and fallen tears

that sear

the flesh

of the soul

Heartbeats where once

ribs wrapped around

e m p t i n e s s

A darkness so deep

that even the night

fears it's presence 

Give me mangled hearts to mend

and heartbreak that reads like a poem

Cause

I want a love so deep

even my bones ache

And even though

none will care for

the reason I bleed

As the words fade

from my lips

I still chant

Love

Love

 Love
