She Bleeds for Him

She sees him
as he bleeds for her

And her heart
it beats only for him

She sees his broken silence
and hears his silent cries

She sees the cracks
of a shattered man

She is a seamstress
on the mend
stitching pieces
back together

His heart
is out of rhythm
thumping a broken
hearted tune

Chipped Casablanca black
cupped and pleading
in profane prayer

For a love
worth dying for

An endless hunger
and starvation
fills us both

Sometimes I
want to love you
in the most tender of ways

But you wont let me

You push me away
to my death

Cause I die inside
to fill your need

But you are a man and a poet
who can't express himself fully

You are a poet and a man
who can't accept that he is
LOVED more than the breath
that escapes my lungs

Cause your name seethes
in the back of my throat
on hitched breath

You are

A man
that cant
see past
his own wall

A poet
that thinks
his work
is more
powerful
as fiction

I call
BULLSHIT
BULLSHIT
BULLSHIT

You hide
behind
the term
"FICTION"
but it
comes from
somewhere
REAL and felt

I could spend
days upon days

Crafting intricate metaphors
in an attempt to complete

The enormous task
of explaining all of
this to you

But

Don't you see

I see your pain
I see your faults
I see your failures
I see your regrets

But most of all
I see the love
you have inside

I see the man
I see the poet
choking on dying
emotions drowning inside

When will you see
you are beautiful
you are special
YOU are worth
LOVING

I see the completion of a man who has lost his spark. You poetess have reanimated him not only for the world to see his worth n beauty but for him to take hold of his true potential n ride the love you share for each other for days not yet imagined. You two are too adorable and you two share such an amazing and loving bond that everyone envies and wants. I don't recall reading his poem that he wrote for you but I bet it is just as excellent as yours to him. I love reading poetry that intertwines with each other. I am into poems that are happy and loving. I can feel the love and affection shared in this poem. True love is loving a person even when you discover their faults, flaws, failures, and regrets. True love is two people sticking together when times get hard. When life throws a curve ball their way, they smile and catch it together. I may be young but through poetry and a couple of small heart breaks has caused me to notice the true definitions of true love. Thank you for sharing such a lovely piece.
