I read the music on your skin beat out primal rhythms like heart beats
I want to embrace those senses as you lose yourself in the creativity of your passions I want to touch those words as your pulse beats at the tip of my pen
Edge of my heart a verse repeats at the side of my lip a tone vibrates
I am in love
But
Am
I
Worth
Losing
Poetry is heartbroken words fainted expressions initially sentences trembled finally twisted and fragmented with metaphors hidden meanings lost
This poem really blew me away. There are a great deal of poems out there that are like this, but this one in particular spoke to me. The use of spaces in between words in the fourth stanza added a dramatic effect, and to me, it's one of the strongest points in your poem. However, I believe that the strongest is when you said "Poetry is / heartbroken words / fainted expressions / initially sentences / trembled / finally / twisted and / fragmented with / metaphors / hidden / meanings / lost". I can relate to this illustration. You're right when you say that poetry is heartbroken words and fainted expressions. At least that's what it is for me most of the time. Well done! This is an incredible piece.
As always a great write from a beautiful poet. As poetry is a way to express the meaning of love or heartbreak or anything we are going through at the time. I love it.
